Shoe-Box Appeal 2016

The Perth Support Group would like to express it's gratitude to everybody that has made this year’s Shoe Box Appeal another successful event.

Thank you to Provost Liz Grant for giving her time to launch the local 2016 Appeal at the Coffee Morning on 24 September.

Thank you for the filled shoe boxes, filler items and money towards transport.

Thank you for the hours of time spent by the volunteers, knitters and general helpers.

4,161 Christmas boxes will bring joy to all ages of recipients in Romania.

125 volunteers helped with the Custom Checking process on Saturday 12th November in the North Church hall.

57 cartons of knitted blankets and clothes will be distributed with the shoe boxes.

£7,000 was donated towards transport which will pay for the Perth lorry and almost another.

£10,000 has been given towards the local Shoe Box Appeal.

Thanks to the generosity of the local community there will be many smiles on the faces of the needy children, teenagers and adults in Romania this Christmas.

Our prayer is that through the Romanian books, calendar and St John’s Gospel people will come to know and take Jesus into their lives.
