Shoe-Box Appeal 2017

Shoe Box Appeal Launch Coffee Morning

The Support Group would like to thank Councillor Chris Ahern for giving his time to launch the local 2017 Blythswood Shoe Box Appeal at the Coffee Morning on 30 September.

We would also like to thank the people that donated home baking, books or toys for the stalls and everybody who came along and supported the event with £620 raised towards the Appeal.

2017 Shoe Box Appeal

Thank you to everybody that supported this year’s appeal with 4,043 boxes custom checked and sent from Perth helping bring joy and smiles to the faces of poor people in Romania as they celebrated Christmas with the hope and love given by Jesus. We would ask you to “Make someone happy this Christmas” remembering that things we take for granted can often be luxuries for people living in desperate poverty when they receive a gift filled shoe box.

The Support Group started organising a local collection and Custom Checking in 2001 since then nearly 80,000 gift filled shoe boxes have been sent from Perth to Romania.
