Worship
We would welcome you to come and join us for worship. Details of the types of service, themes for this month's service, as well as opportunities for communion and special services, are shown below.

Our regular worship programme has evolved through the preaching and teaching of previous ministries. We recognise the need to create opportunities to praise and worship for those who cherish tradition as well as those who lead or seek change. At all services we strive to be open and welcoming to all-comers.

Services

We currently have four established weekly services of worship:

Sunday 9:30am
Elders and members play a significant role in leading this less formal service with greater use of contemporary worship songs led by the praise-band. Emphasis is on ‘all-age/family’ worship and includes monthly breakfast
services in the hall.

Sunday 11:00am
A more traditional Church of Scotland format, minister-led, mostly with organ / keyboard, choir and children’s formal church groups. For babies and toddlers a creche, run by parents and volunteer helpers, is available.

Sunday 6:30pm
Minister-led, but with less focus on musical praise. A quiet, intimate service of learning and reflection, in a less rigid format.

"Thursday@1" (1pm)
A short service, snack lunches, and time for fellowship. A reminder to live in Christ beyond Sunday and to reach some who may be unable to attend a full Sunday service.

Communion

We enjoy the experience of various styles of worship including the Sacraments. These are celebrated in different ways and frequencies at each of these services, in keeping with our desire for inclusion allowing all to grow in God despite their differing needs. There are opportunities at these services to celebrate Communion at least once a month.

Communion is celebrated at:

9.30am worship
worship on the last Sunday of each month

11am worship
on the second Sunday of each month

6.30pm worship
on the first Sunday of each month.

Communion is also celebrated on Thursdays following the Thursday lunchtime 1pm service, usually on the first Thursday of the month.

Special services

We are developing more information for our special services. The links below will take you to these pages.

Baptism
We are delighted that you may be considering Baptism for your child. It is an important event for you and your family, as it is for the Christian family to which your child will belong more fully.
